How to Use This Calculator

Plug in the numbers from a creator's media kit or your own campaign history. Not sure what to enter? Start with the pre-filled defaults — they reflect realistic mid-tier YouTube creator benchmarks.

  1. 1

    Avg Views / Video

Check the creator's last 10 videos on YouTube Studio or SparkLine Post Tracking. Use the median, not the mean — one viral video skews averages.

  2. 2

    Engagement Rate

Add likes + comments for a recent video and divide by views. Healthy YouTube engagement is 2–6%.

  3. 3

    Sponsorship CTR

The % of viewers who click your link in the video description. Most campaigns land between 0.5–3%. Niche audiences hit the top.

  4. 4

    Conversion Rate

How many link clicks turn into purchases. Your own store's conversion rate is the best input — otherwise use 2% as a baseline.

  5. 5

    Avg Order Value

Your average revenue per transaction. Higher AOV means influencer marketing ROI improves dramatically even with modest traffic.

  6. 6

    Sponsorship Fee

What the creator charges for a dedicated or integrated mention. Typical range: $500–$50K depending on niche and audience size.

What the Outputs Mean

ROI Multiple

Revenue generated per dollar spent. 3× means you earned $3 for every $1 in creator fees.

Net Return

Estimated revenue minus the sponsorship fee. This is your profit before other costs (production, product COGS).

Cost per Acquisition

What you pay to win each customer through this channel. Compare it to your paid media CPA to benchmark efficiency.

Cost per View / Engagement

How efficiently the creator distributes your message. Lower is better — useful for comparing creators on media value.

Frequently Asked Questions

What inputs does the calculator use?

Average views per video, engagement rate, sponsorship CTR (the % of viewers who click your link), conversion rate on your landing page, average order value, and the creator's sponsorship fee.

How is ROI calculated?

ROI Multiple = Estimated Revenue ÷ Sponsorship Fee. Estimated Revenue = (Views × CTR%) × Conversion Rate% × Average Order Value. The calculator also shows net return (revenue minus fee) and percentage ROI.

What's a good ROI for influencer marketing?

There is no universal ROI target. Breaking even (1×) means estimated revenue matches the sponsorship fee, but your target should reflect margin, campaign goal, measurement window, and the value of awareness or future customer demand.

Why does my cost-per-acquisition matter?

CPA lets you compare influencer marketing directly against paid channels like Google or Meta ads. If your influencer CPA is lower than your paid CPA, influencer is your cheapest acquisition channel.
