Methodology

How SparkLine scores creators

What we measure, where it comes from, and where it stops being reliable.

The SPARK dimensions

The full report scores a creator on five dimensions, which roll up into one SPARK score. The score is contextual: it needs your brand brief, so it is only produced after signup.

  • S

    Strategic Storytelling

How well the channel's content tells a coherent story a sponsor can fit into.

  • P

    Partnership Alignment

How closely the channel's topics and audience match your brand.

  • A

    Authentic Engagement

Whether viewers actually respond: likes and comments relative to views.

  • R

    Reach Amplification

How far recent videos travel compared with the channel's size.

  • K

    Key Differentiation

What makes this creator distinct from others in the same niche.

What the free preview shows

The homepage preview shows real public channel metrics: subscribers, niche when available, and engagement rate from recent videos, plus a sponsorship range from a named published benchmark. It does not include a SPARK score, brand fit, brand safety, or a recommendation, because those depend on your brand.

How sponsorship estimates are derived

The estimate starts from the median cumulative views of the channel's recent long-form videos (Shorts are excluded). It is then applied to the midpoint and bounds of SponsorRadar's published sponsorship guide for the channel's niche. When the niche is unknown, a broader ThoughtLeaders range of 10–100 is used. Each result shows its basis and source. This is guidance, not a database of fees creators were actually paid, not a prediction of first-30-day views, and not a quote or guarantee. Agency finance-heavy self-reported rates are separate context and are not blended in. If there is not enough comparable long-form view data, we show no estimate.

Data freshness

Metrics come from YouTube at the time of analysis, and each preview shows when it was analyzed. Channels change, so re-check before you commit budget.

Limitations

  • Engagement rate is (likes + comments) divided by views across a sample of recent public videos, times 100. Hidden subscriber counts are shown as unavailable.
  • Public data cannot show a channel's audience demographics or private analytics.
  • Business emails, where shown, come from public channel pages and are not individually verified.
  • Scores support a decision. They do not predict sales or campaign results.

Data source disclosure

SparkLine uses only publicly available creator information from YouTube and other public sources. No private data is collected or stored. Creators can request removal; see Creator Privacy.
